FAPS Parade of Pooches
Set to Honor
Marquis de Lafayette
WEATHER UPDATE:
IF IT IS RAINING TOMORROW MORNING,
THE PARADE OF POOCHES WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR NEXT SATURDAY.
IF IT IS NOT RAINING,THE PARADE WILL GO ON AS PLANNED.
What fun! A Pooch Parade for ALL BREEDS, especially FRENCH dogs.
Date: September 6, 2008
Place: Anderson Lane (Downtown Fayetteville)
Time: 8:30 am
Why:
Join us on Saturday, off of Hay Street, (Downtown Fayetteville) and take part in the "Parade of Pooches" in honor of Marquis de Lafayette, for whom Fayetteville was named after, and yes, he was French.
FAPS will have a tent set up and we encourage all breeds to walk in the parade. We are especially looking for French bred dogs, but we do not discriminate, so all dogs are welcome, as long as they have some sort of French flair! Anything having to do with being French, like a beret, bikini, flag, or if the dog owner likes french food or champagne-be creative. Fabric stores in town could be the perfect place to make your own French themed hair bows, bandanas or French outfit! It will be hot, so keep in mind not to dress them in heavy costume. Fresh water will be provided by FAPS.
Remember all dogs are welcome, regardless of breed.
There are NO entry fees, but donations of any kind are greatly appreciated!
Need To Know: FAPS logo t-shirts, visors, and water bottles will be for sale. ALL proceeds go to the shelter and homeless animals. Look for the FAPS tent for giveaways!
Contact Information: 910-864-2077 Monday-Friday, from 10-3.
SEE YOU THERE!

www.unchaincc.blogspot.com
Unchain Cumberland County is made up of a group of volunteers dedicated
to providing fences for tethered, tied, or chained dogs whose owners do
not have the financial means to purchase a fence. We feel that all
people should be able to provide their pets with a healthy and happy
life. We feel that dogs should be able to run and play in a safely
fenced-in yard. We believe that chaining dogs causes harm not only to
the dogs' health and happiness, but to that of entire communities. To
get involved with Unchain Cumberland County, please contact us at
unchaincc@gmail.com. Together, we can unchain Cumberland County one dog
at a time!
