The Empty Shelter

Unchain Cumberland County is made up of a group of volunteers dedicated
to providing fences for tethered, tied, or chained dogs whose owners do
not have the financial means to purchase a fence. We feel that all
people should be able to provide their pets with a healthy and happy
life. We feel that dogs should be able to run and play in a safely
fenced-in yard. We believe that chaining dogs causes harm not only to
the dogs' health and happiness, but to that of entire community's. To
get involved with Unchain Cumberland County, please contact us at
unchaincc@gmail.com. Together, we can unchain Cumberland County one dog
at a time!

 Fayetteville's Rogue Rollergirl Magic!

Beautiful Derby Girls and FAPS' Homeless

Animals

"Fayetteville's Roller Derby Team," organized in 2006, single-handedly set up a fundraising photo shoot for FAPS this past summer. This animal-loving team posed with adoptable shelter pets and encouraged fans to consider adoption from our shelter.

These extraordinary women, made up of stay-at-home moms, military wives, nurses, and so on, decided that they would donate $1,545.00 from their last undefeated "bout" when they realized

that helping with operating costs and overhead were only half of FAPS' needs.

They are actively encouraging pet adoption, are volunteering in spare time, and have donated funds which have saved many lives! Many of the pets were adopted after the shoot! For this we are forever grateful!

These gals are currently undefeated. You Go Girls! They practice at Round-a-Bout in the Eutaw Shopping Center off of Bragg Blvd. in Fayetteville. They are now recruiting new team members

and sponsors! The RRG are always looking to meet fun, smart ladies to join them! Come out and meet them on a practice day!
