To adopt, please fill out an online application and send your pet policy if you rent to info@fapspet.org. A staff member will review the application, pet policy and complete the veterinary and personal reference checks.

Adoption Process

1. FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION COMPLETELY (it's free)

To apply, click on the photo of the cat or dog you wish to adopt, read the information given, and if you feel it is a good match, click the 'Apply for Adoption' button.
Be sure to include emergency contact information and veterinary clinic information for any pets you have owned in the past five years.

2. IF YOU RENT, PLEASE SEND YOUR PET POLICY SHOWING RESTRICTIONS TO INFO@FAPSPET.ORG

3. MEET AND GREET- EVERYONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD IS REQUIRED TO MEET THE PROSPECTIVE PET

ADOPTION FEES

DOGS $200

CATS $100

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip registered to you, full vaccinations, deworming, heartworm tested, heartworm treated (dogs), up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventative, FeLV/FIV tested (cats), and any other needed medical care.

REMINDERS:

FAPS often gets multiple applications on a single pet. If another home is chosen, this does NOT necessarily mean your application has been denied for adoption.
Applications are NOT first-come-first-serve, but it is first MOST appropriate home for the pet.
Because we have a very limited staff, we are not able to call every applicant once an animal is adopted. It is incumbent on you to call and check on the status of any application.
